Below you will find some of our volunteer activities. Some are one-time events, while others are annual volunteer opportunities.
Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald House is dedicated to supporting families with sick children in their time of need, and Kansas City Returned Peace Corps Volunteers assist by providing ingredients and cooking a meal for those who are currently staying at the Kansas City location.
Harvesters
Harvesters is a regional food bank that serves 26 counties in northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. Members of the KCAPCA volunteer at Harvesters to help sort and package donations that will be distributed across Harvesters' network.
Johnson County Christmas Bureau
Each year the Johnson County Christmas Bureau provides support during the winter holiday season by providing food, clothing and toys to low-income Johnson County, Kansas families. For the past five years, Kansas City Returned Peace Corps Volunteers have participated in this annual event.
